In June 2013, President Obama launched the ConnectED initiative, with the goal that 99% of American students would have access to next-generation broadband by 2018. The ConnectED Library Challenge specifically tasks libraries to strengthen partnerships in their communities to ensure that each child enrolled in school gets a library card, along with other goals such as broadband access, digital resources, and supportive educational programming. Learn how five libraries in Ohio have taken on that challenge and have approached the ConnectED initiative. You’ll hear their successes and challenges thus far.
